Solvent evaporation/concentration

Solvent evaporation/concentration is a critical step in the sample preparation process used by the clinical, food, environmental, pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnology industries. Because so many different types of samples and solvents are used for evaporation or concentration, no single technique can provide a universal solution. Over the years, many evaporation and concentration systems have been developed to address the range of applications and various market segments. These systems are based on nitrogen gas, vacuum pumps, cold traps, and heating technologies. There have been many new developments in dry heating baths as well as direct-to-vial endpoint delivery that are ready for deployment to an analytical instrument.

Laboratories today benefit from more consistent, reproducible results thanks to new concentration technologies that improve sample integrity and reduce the costly errors and intensive labor associated with the final manual transfer step. An understanding of the most up-to-date evaporation and concentration processes, their application at a practical level, and use of the latest equipment permits optimization of protocols for improved and more rapid sample concentration.

PowerPrep Multi-Column Sample Cleanup System
The PowerPrep Multi-Column Sample Cleanup System is the only automated sample processing system of its kind available today. It is an automated liquid chromatography system that performs simultaneous sample processing unattended. The total sample preparation process; sample loading, washing, elution, fraction collection, and concentration is performed automatically.

Pressurized Liquid Extraction or PLE system
The PLE® system is a high-speed pressurized liquid extraction system designed to perform sample extraction of multiple samples simultaneously. The PLE system delivers high recoveries and excellent precision for all analytes in minutes instead of hours.

Total Rapid Prep System
The Total Rapid Prep system combines three sample prep processes into one economical package. It performs the extraction, sample cleanup and concentration steps for six samples simultaneously in less than a few hours, while delivering the highest recoveries and best results for all target analytes.

TurboTrace Sequential Parallel Automated Solid Phase Extraction System
The TurboTrace® Sequential Parallel Solid Phase Extraction System One-Step Extraction and Concentration System is designed to streamline your workflow and increase productivity by automating the manual steps in your sample preparation process. The PowerPrep SPE system replaces older manual Liquid-Liquid Extraction techniques and outdated semi-automated instruments and automates existing manual SPE methods.
