Certified Cartridges for PFAS Sample Preparation
FMS Certified Cartridges are contaminant-free solid phase extraction (SPE) cartridges engineered specifically for PFAS sample preparation in water, soil, biosolids, and food matrices. Tested and validated for EPA Methods 533, 537.1, and 1633, each cartridge delivers high recovery, clean blanks, and reproducible performance—ensuring consistent and defensible analytical results.
Compatible with all FMS extraction systems—including TurboTrace® (wastewater), EconoTrace® (drinking water), and the FMS PFAS Starter Kit (semi-automated)—these certified cartridges integrate seamlessly into any regulated PFAS testing workflow, offering both flexibility and precision.
Designed for unmatched accuracy, reliability, and confidence in PFAS analysis, our cartridges provide certified clean blank performance with every batch and support high-throughput operations in compliance with the most demanding regulatory methods.
Whether you’re testing drinking water, surface water, industrial wastewater, biosolids, sludge, food, soil, or sediments, FMS Certified Cartridges ensure consistent performance throughout the entire PFAS sample preparation process.
Extraction Protocol:
Method 1633: Wastewaters, Solids, Biosolids & Food
Extraction System: TurboTrace, EZPFC
Sample size: up 500 ml water
Sample Type: Ground, surface and wastewaters
Cartridge: Pure PFAS Dual-WAX‑GCB, 300 mg, 6ml
Sample Type: Solids, sediments, biosolids, tissue, Food
Cartridge: Pure PFAS Dual‑GCB-WAX, 300 mg, 6ml
Elution Solvent= 1 % Basic methanol = 5 ml final extract
Concentration: No concentration needed.
Method 533: Drinking Water
Extraction System: EconoTrace, TurboTrace, EZPFC
Sample size: 250 ml water
Cartridge: Pure PFAS WAX, 500 mg
Elution solvent = 2 times 5 ml (2 % basic methanol)
Concentration: concentrate the extract to dryness under a gentle stream of nitrogen in a heated water bath (55–60 °C)
Reconstitute the extract with 1.0 mL of 20% reagent water in methanol (v/v)
Method 537.1
Method 537.1: Drinking Water
Extraction System: EconoTrace, TurboTrace, EZPFC
Sample size: 250 ml water
Cartridge: Pure PFAS DVB, 500 mg, 6ml
Elution solvent = 4 ml methanol twice
Concentration: Concentrate the extract to dryness at (60-65 °C). Add the appropriate amount of 96:4% (vol/vol) methanol: water solution to bring to 1 ml final extract.

Key Advantages
-
✅ Purity You Can Trust
Certified clean to eliminate background PFAS—minimizing interference and reducing false positives in ultra-trace analysis. -
✅ Outstanding Recovery & Precision
Optimized sorbent blends maximize PFAS extraction and meet rigorous QA/QC standards, supporting EPA Methods 533, 537.1, 1633, and Total Oxidizable Precursor (TOP) assays. -
✅ Advanced Dual‑Sorbent Design
The WAX + GCB (graphitized carbon black) dual-bed configuration streamlines workflows and enhances recovery even in complex matrices, matching or exceeding combined SPE/dSPE methods. -
✅ Full Workflow Versatility
Available in WAX, HLB, and proprietary PureWAX™-PFAS formulations across multiple sizes (1, 3, 6 mL to 15–65 mL) to suit both low- and high-volume EPA protocols. -
✅ Reliable Quality Assurance
Like top-tier dual-phase products, our cartridges undergo PFAS‑specific recovery and cleanliness testing to ensure consistent low-background performance. Why FMS Certified PFAS Cartridges Are a Cut Above
-
Workflow Integration – Designed to plug-and-play with all FMS systems for streamlined operation.
-
Certifiably Clean – Eliminates PFAS background, lowering detection limits and improving signal clarity.
